Fresh Lobsters Tip The Scales
With the start of the Chinese New Year celebrations, come an increased demand for only the freshest and best seafood available. As the fish markets react to this demand we are now receiving some of the largest lobsters we have seen for some time. Pictured with an impressive 2.4 kilo local lobster is our Sous Chef Benson Sweeney and waitress Beatriz Silva.
“Even with their size these lobsters are some of the sweetest and most tender we have had for a while, real quality.” says Benson. On Friday we had a chef from Sydney’s China town visit our restaurant with his family and they had a lobster prepared 2 ways, half the traditional mornay and the other half the chef’s prepared sashimi style, which really does show off the freshness of these lobsters. Our Chef’s received high praise from the family, who were delighted our kitchen was accommodating to their request.

Dexter Chill’s The Night Out


Visitors to the Haven foreshore at Terrigal could be forgiven for thinking they were on holiday in places such as Bali or Thailand. There was a wonderful warm gentle sea breeze blowing in from the south, it was 7.30pm the sun was slowly sinking and people were still enjoying a late ocean dip, and a mellow tune was drifting in the air.
