About Stella Bella

Stella Bella Wines began with the fusion of two passionate minds, Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald. From these beginnings, the Stella Bella story unfolded to where it is today.

The evolution and success of Stella Bella is the vision of two local families; the Pyvis’s and the Waldon’s. Recognising the potential and quality of southern Margaret River fruit they shared a vision to form a grape growing and winemaking team, with the passion and skills to enhance the delicacies of Southern Margaret River fruit. The small team who share this vision and bring these wines to life is led by Chief Winemaker Luke Jolliffe and Viticulturist Steve Martin.

Each wine has its own unique personality, derived from the vineyard and meticulously crafted in the winery. The brand styling assists in defining these personalities.  Stella Bella is ‘Beautiful Star’ in Italian. Suckfizzle; its mischievous name was inspired by the Great Lord Suckfizzle, a monumental character in the 15th century book Gargantua and Pantagruel, by monk and medico Francois Rabelais. New brands Luminosa and Otro Vino have followed suit with insight and styling that captures the essence of the wine.

Stella Bella is rated amongst the best wineries in Australia and has set the benchmark for producing southern Margaret River wines. Today Stella Bella is continuously evolving to create beautiful wines with immense personality that captivate and create a memorable wine experience.

We believe one of life’s great pleasures is sharing the experience of beautiful wine.
